Positioning ConnectPay as a leading authority in European fintech
About the project
For ConnectPay, an all-in-one financial platform for online businesses, we focused on elevating the brand’s visibility and authority in the international fintech scene. We worked alongside ConnectPay's team on thought leadership initiatives that positioned company leaders as authoritative voices on market trends including payments, banking regulation, compliance, UX, and security.
One of our core projects was announcing and supporting the launch of the European Fintech Index. The project, developed in collaboration with Neat and Synthesis, is a country-by-country index that assesses the fintech competitiveness of 32 European markets using transparent data across multiple dimensions.
After years of working with ConnectPay, we saw this launch a as an opportunty to cement their market authority. In addition to conceptual development of the index itself, our role included crafting and rolling out launch-time press releases and journalist tailored pitches for specific countries, highlighting relevant data points and rankings.

Our Approach
Messaging & Positioning
We positioned ConnectPay as a forward-thinking fintech, actively shaping conversations on key industry issues such as digital payments, financial compliance, and regulatory changes. Messaging was built to show ConnectPay as both a reliable source of expert analysis and an innovator in the sector.
Thought Leadership
We emphasized topical, data-driven research and insights, drawing on unique ConnectPay data sets and CEO commentary. By focusing on high-relevance trends, like payment modernization, AI in financial services, and embedded finance, we positioned ConnectPay as a go-to voice for credible fintech perspectives.
Media Relations
We organized regular interviews and provided useful data points to established journalists, favouring quality over volume and only targeting outlets relevant to core audiences.
Reputation Management
Issues and crises were anticipated by tracking external headlines, giving ConnectPay strategies to calmly address concerns if any reputational risks arose.
How we tackled it
Our approach focused on placing expert comments in leading international outlets like the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times, to highlight ConnectPay’s technological strengths and growing status across the European fintech sector.
